Twelve weeks ago we had Family Business.
“When you wake up every day, you have two choices. You can either be positive or negative; an optimist or a pessimist. I choose to be an optimist. It’s all a matter of perspective.”
Twelve weeks ago I had triple by-pass surgery, or a CABG. Coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG) is a procedure used to treat coronary artery disease. Coronary artery disease (CAD) is the narrowing of the coronary arteries – the blood vessels that supply oxygen and nutrients to the heart muscle. CAD is caused by a build-up of fatty material within the walls of the arteries. This build-up narrows the inside of the arteries, limiting the supply of oxygen-rich blood to the heart muscle.
In Twelve weeks we collectively survived, overcame incisional pain, chronic pain, swelling in the legs, insomnia, mood swings, short term memory loss, the acknowledgement of Blessings and the shortness of life — Family Business.
In Twelve weeks Family business evaluated project management vs. risk management. In business we need to manage projects and always, always evaluate risk.
“Risk management is the identification, assessment, and prioritization of risks followed by coordinated and economical application of resources to minimize, monitor, and control the probability and/or impact of unfortunate even or to maximize the realization of opportunities. Risk management’s objective is to assure uncertainty does not deflect the endeavor from the Family business goals.”
Twelve weeks of initial recovery is project management: It’s a Family Business.
· Stress Management
· Diabetes Management
· Sexual Activity
· Physical Activity
· Cardiac Rehabilitation
· Eating a healthy diet
· Reduce Cholesterol, antiplatelet, aspirin
· Beta-blockers, Ace inhibitors
· Combating depression
FAMILY BUSINESS requires project management in recovery, the risk assessment is that 20-30% of patients have a second surgery. That’s serious risk, disciplined project management is required.
Thanks for all your prayers.
